  Does Word Press have its own technical support, or is that provided by webhosts?

  Hi there,

  Support for the open source WordPress software is provided by the community on WordPress.org who make that software. They provide this support in the forums at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

  Some hosting providers also provide support for the WordPress software, but that only tends to be on managed WordPress hosting plans, or with some hosts it’s available as a paid add-on to your hosting plan. You’ll need to contact your hosting provider/check what’s included in your specific hosting plan for more info in that regard.

  Support for individual plugins and themes is the responsibility of the private companies/developers who make those products.

  The forum you’re posting in now is for the hosting provider, WordPress.com. We provide full WordPress support for sites hosted on our servers, but only sites hosted on our servers. We also provide support for the themes we make, whether they’re used on our servers or on a site hosted somewhere else. We can also provide limited support for the Jetpack plugin you used to connect your site to your username account with us, though in most cases contacting Jetpack support directly is the better option.
