  I am experiencing an issue with the Media Library search functionality on my WordPress website. The search bar in the Media Library does not return any results, even for files that are confirmed to exist and are properly named. This issue is specific to the Media Library, as other search functionalities on the site (e.g., for posts or pages) are working correctly.

  Here are the details of the issue:

  1. Scope of the Problem:
     • The search functionality in the Media Library is not returning results for any queries.
     • Known existing media files, such as images or PDFs, cannot be located through the search bar.
  2. Steps to Reproduce:
     • Navigate to the Media Library in the WordPress admin dashboard.
     • Enter a known media file name in the search bar.
     • The search results display no matching items.
  3. Additional Information:
     • I am using WordPress version [Your WordPress Version] and the theme [Your Theme Name].
     • The issue occurs across all browsers and devices.
     • Some custom code exists in the functions.php file, including filters like pre_get_posts, which might interfere with the Media Library’s search.
