Technical Support Urgency

My recent WordPress website purchase with IONOS are giving me tremedous difficulties while installing a theme.
    1. The theme isn’t been loaded as requested, but another banner takes it place
    2. I can’t edit the 80% of the content in the replaced theme
    3. The WordPress platform keep loading the same header and menu regardless of the theme chosen

    WP.com: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hey there, these forums are for sites hosted here on our services, but perhaps we can point you in the best direction for help.

    – Please contact IONOS about being unable to add your theme.

    – Resolving this first issue will likely resolve the second issue.

    – This third issue is likely something with your theme or its settings, so resolving the first issue should help with that, too.

Going forward, these forums are for the sites hosted here on our servers. If you use other hosting, there is another forum for the free WordPress software. You can find that here:
    https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

And if you’d like more info about the difference between the WordPress software and the services by WordPress.com, we have more info here. Let us know if you have any questions about our service!

    Unbelievable!!!

I find WordPress to be overrated, here I’m trying to solve an issue with your website themes, where I was told by IONOS to contact you because they can’t solve this issue, but instead, you sending back to the hosting company to resolve you website theme issues, that’s an embarrassment to me, how can I ever recommend WordPress with that attitude?

Second, your support and respect for customers like me is ridiculous, no one to chart with, no email support, and absolutely no phone help, but a forum only, how can such a big company be so backward?

This whole thing seemed like a joke.

Again as @staff-quasir stated you are in the wrong forum. WordPress.com has nothing to do with wordpress.org. So there is no need to be agressive, just make sure you post your problem in the right forum, https://wordpress.org/support/forums/, or contact support of the theme you are using.

  • Howdy,

There seems to be some confusion between WordPress.com (the webhost) and WordPress, the open source software available from WordPress.org. They are related, but completely separate things.

Your site is using WordPress, the open source software. However, you are posting on the support forums for WordPress.com, the webhost. It is not that we don’t want to assist you, it is that we have no ability to as you are not our customer and we have no access to your site’s data or administrative backend.

We’re only able to provide support for WordPress websites that are hosted by us here at WordPress.com. For help with a WordPress site hosted elsewhere you’ll need to ask over at the WordPress.org forums:

    https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

If you want to know more about the differences between WordPress.com and the open-source WordPress software you can read this article:

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

Let me know if that all makes sense.
