Technology that translates conversations of different languages in real- time?

Does anyone know of technology that translates conversations online of different languages in relatively quick ways? Any input would be much appreciated, thanks.

Microsoft and Skype has recently announced new translation technology, but it’s glitchy, and not fast enough to be considered “real time”, but here’s the story from Forbes:

Interesting. And how will you apply that to your WordPress.com website, please? There are code restrictions here. http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/

If I worked in an Apple Store in midtown Manhattan, and someone walked in to ask for directions, the store manager would not kick that person out for not asking an Apple related question.
This fellow member posted a question 20 days before I replied, but it took you 5 minutes to pounce electronically. What’s wrong with this picture?

Automatic translation is not available to WordPress.com blogs. We do not have FTP access and we bloggers cannot install any plugins.
However, I have translation on my WordPress.com blogs. There are two workarounds and you will find them here > http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2011/02/14/translation-widget-for-wordpress-com-blogs/
Note: You can copy and paste the code on my Translations page and then replace every occurrence of my blog’s URL in the code with your own blog’s URL.
If you are bilingual or multilingual and want to publish your free hosted WordPress.com in two or more languages but do not want to rely on machine translation that can be done see here > http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2013/02/25/wordpress-com-multilingual-blogs/ -
@rennickd-
These community forums are where any knowledgeable WPcom member is welcome to answer another member’s questions about using their WPcom site. If I see a thread where I can answer or add more information to the discussion, I will. In this case, I pointed out that while the article you mentioned was interesting, there wasn’t any real-time application of this technology that could be used on WPcom blogs due to our code restrictions. It would be pretty cool if we could.
FWIW- About 2 years ago, Staff did away with the Off-Topic forum, which a lot of community members (and I suspect some Staff members as well) still miss and which moved such discussions to our own websites. That change brought the focus of these forums on Support. That’s where we are today.
@tt – Thanks for that information! Bookmarked!
