Technorati?

  Someone suggested that it is a good idea to join Technorati. I checked out their website but I am still unsure exactly what the advantage is. Can anyone tell me what Technorati is and why it would or would not be a good idea to use their services. Thanks.

  Technorati is the foremost blog-ranking system in the world. It is, however, deeply broken and highly erratic. You should join just because there is nothing else out there anywhere near as authoritative at the moment, but there will be soon if they dont fix things.

  Your blogs, if they’re on WP.com, are already on Technorati. You might as well claim them; there are some advantages to consolidation, as it encourages people who read one of your blogs to look at the others as well.
