Technorati and new domains

  OK, my turn. :)

  Has anyone had any success in getting Technorati to recognize replacement URLs for claimed blogs? I had thought that maybe pinging the older URLs would make the system pick up on the redirects but no such luck.

  Suggestions?

  Nope. I ping Technorati for both domains, because they point-blank refused to make a switch, and they didn’t get the new one at all until I set up a ping for it. Daily I watch the old URL losing links (the only place that keeps linking to it is WordPress.com Top Blogs, which I wish they would change) and the new one gaining.

  Great. :( Thanks for the reply.

  I did go ahead and claim the new domain though with Technorati. I’m not real worried about it as I get so little traffic from them. It’s more of an annoyance actually. I noticed that MSN and Google already have the site indexed at least somewhat.

  And I agree with the botd issue as well. :)
