Stops – hopefully – people saying ‘Why isn’t WP pinging..’

Perhaps I shouldn’t crow too loud but I have no complaints at all baout technorati. I repeat that my posts are pinged to technorati quicker than you can say “jack the bear”. On two recent occasions when I published and then screened I noted spelling and gramar errors so I immediately edited. Well they had already been pinged and that meant the entire post was apearing twice. Once in the original unedited version and once in the edited version. I have a make me your “technorati favorites button” on my blogs maybe this has something to do with the excellent service I get, or maybe not. :-)

I don’t see the cute little make me one of your technorati favorites buttons on your site – tsk, tsk. (lol)In fact your sight is so very dark and so button free it’s postively geekish. Perhaps posturing as a newbie and sucking up by adding a button may change things for you (lol).

Where did you get your Technorati button? I’ve been looking around for it but can’t seem to find them.

I have been having the same problem with Techonrati not updating my blog as well. It has been over 2 weeks now. I guess sooner or later they will do something about it.

Do you have an up to date technorati profile?
Have you claimed your blog(s) and updated their configurations and tags?
Have you registered your technorati favorites?
Have you registered your watchlist?
The reason I ask is because I have done all these things and I just posted two articles. Within 3 minutes the first one was picked up. Within 7 minutes the second one was picked up too. -
My Technorati pings are usually picked up within 1-5 minutes.There is the odd occasion it is longer, but so fat this is the exception.

Mine got fixed. Took three emails. Offical response is that they’re dealing with a backlog of ping requests.
54 days of a backlog? I don’t think so…

1CS, I pinged your site directly with Tech as well as over at pingomatic.com. If they still doesn’t pick up your site (I’m showing 14 days on yours), send Tech. a Feedback from your account over there, wait a day or two, and then follow up with it.
If you don’t have an account with Tech., let me know and I’ll send them a Feedback for you.

Quick mention that about an hour ago, I hit my blogs via pingomatic.com and it appears that Tech. picked up all of the pings as they’re all listed as having updated.
1CS, I’m still showing yours as not being updated. I would suggest sending in a feedback to see if they can give their machine a bit of a bump.

I think we all need to learn how to spell ‘Technorati’ :)
Sistla, visit your Dashboard -> Options -> General -> Search Engines and uncheck the box labeled “I would like my blog to appear in search engines like Google and Technorati, and in public listings around WordPress.com.”

Well it looks like my blog got updated at Technorati! Yay! he he Thanks for all the help drmike! I appreciate your efforts on this issue!
