Technorati problem reading my blog

I do have a Technorati account.
I see two blogs that I was claiming, because since I changed my domain name, I was advised to try both. One is bewitchingkitchen.com, the other is bewitchingkitchen.wordpress.com
I used the feed
http://bewitchingkitchen.com/feed/rss/which seems to be working ok
I now decided to put the code as a text widget, but it is just floating in the air at the bottom right of my front page……

No! to the text widget. It must be in a Post so it appears in the feed.Apr 23, 2010. We could not find the claim token in any posts in your feed. Please make sure that you have entered it correctly in a post body and that the token appears in the feed whose URL you have given us.

Technorati has had some big issues ever since their last big overhaul and I’ve simply given up on them.

G’evening. :) Many bloggers have given up on them. As I have two blogs there that are claimed and are updating perfectly thus far I’m not complaining. However, I’m choosing not to claim my latest blog there to avoid any hassle that may arise if I do. -
My main problem was that they completely lost my account. It simply did not exist even though I had two blogs claimed there. Their answer? Give it a couple weeks and see if it returns. It did (after two months), but the claims on my blogs did not. I tried in vain to claim my main blog countless times. When it did show up, it had absolutely no ranking whatsoever where before it had a good ranking. I haven’t even been to their site in months and probably won’t go back.

Well, that settles it for me.
I won’t try anything anymore. Every time I deal with Technorati issues, my mood gets more and more rotten as the minutes go by. Life is too short.
Maybe some other venue will show up in the future, better than technorati (fingers firmly crossed)

Sign in at Technorati and change it there on your Account page. Click the edit site info button Change the feed URL and “update Site Information” If you need help for changing it at Technorati then ask for Technorati support. http://technorati.com/contact-us/
