Hello there!
My sight should be a afri-eethinkingwoman.com not afrieethinkingwomandotcom.wordpress.com/ could you assist with changing this.
You have not yet registered a custom domain. To do this, while you’re logged into your Dashboard, please click Store. Then Add a New Domain. If afri-eethinkingwoman.com is available, you can map it to your WordPress.com site (afrieethinkingwomandotcom.wordpress.com). Once you do this, nobody but you will see the .wordpress.com address, only your custom URL.
Secondly I wanted to know while I am doing changes on the site how do I ensure that the site isnt live and how do I make it live when im done with the changes
You can make your site private while you’re building it but clicking Settings → Reading. Then , in the section called “Site Visibility,” you will change your setting to “I would like my site to be private, visible only to users I choose.” Scroll to the bottom of this page and save your changes.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you have other questions.

Hi again!
I want to build a community on my blog where people get to sign in so that I can email them the photos I upload or they can come to my site to access material
Two possibilities:
They can do this by Following your blog. This way, they’ll receive email notifications whenever you publish a new post. Here is the information about how they can subscribe to your site:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/following/You can also collect email addresses by creating a Contact Form:
en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/
You can collect whatever information you’d like from your readers, and contact them via email if you wish.Cheers!
