Template Difference In FireFox and IE

  I have no clue why it is that my template looks different in IE than FireFox. I was told that maybe it was because a pic was too big or something. The template is off on IE but fine on FireFox. the text is HUGE on IE but small on FireFox. Any suggestions?

  Yeah I see the difference. I also looked at all the pictures and from what I can tell, it doesn’t seem to be over the 400 pixel wide warning sign for me.

  Hi I believe this problem is an internet explorer bug. That’s why I use Firefox! ;) However not everybody does … Have a look at this site. http://www.positioniseverything.net/explorer.html more specifically this page:
  http://www.positioniseverything.net/explorer/floatIndent.html
  I believe it is your margin causing the problem. In your source, you have margin set to 0. The second page gives you the CSS fix. Hope that helps. It can be frustrating … no reason why … it’s IE.

  I have the account type where I can’t go in and change the template at all. so I have no idea what to do about the margin thing. is there something I’m overlooking about changing the margin? I’m a dork when it comes to this stuff so please do speak to me like I’m a pc dork…no complex pc language, eh?

  I do know enough to use Firefox though. Poor saps still using IE might just have to deal with the margin errors. I don’t know…

  Best bet would be submit a Feedback from your Dashboard and point it out to staff.

  Either that or get Microsoft to fix their browser to obey standard CSS and we all know that will never happen.

  drmike: Hah, yes, lets all get microsoft to fix their browser. Hahaha. Good luck. I believe I will stick to firefox. Love it love it.
  Sorry, I didn’t mean to sound complicated … just wanted you to see the problem is not a result of what you are doing.
  Not sure how things work around here, but if it is a problem with the template can the template builder do the fix? Others who are using that template, may be having the same problem.

  Matt has asked us not to contact theme designers with questions or suggestions about their themes because they have no control over them once they’re installed here. Most of the themes are modified some before they are installed here.

  Oh I see, drmike. Thank you for the information. The themes I have chosen are working well for me. Quite pleased with them actually.
