  where can i look for default index.php template file in my blog ?

  Do you have a blog here at wordpress.com? Because if so, then you have no access to the php files.

  Yes , I have a wordpress blog. I don’t want archived section to show on my blog, only the categories I want to display.

  I want to access the Loop to make some changes.

  Well, in that case, my first answer stands. You have no access to the php files at WP.com. I don’t know what the Loop is, but I’m fairly sure you can’t access that either.

  If you want to get rid of the Archive widget you can do that under Design – Widgets.

  That means I can’t change the Template file to make some changes or use any Plugin.

  Yes, that’s quite right. If you want to do those things, you need to be at wordpress.org.
