template import section not available

    good morning I need to make a WordPress blog for my photographic studies but they require a specific template which they have given to me, however when they say import the template code in settings there is no import area for me to do so, can someone help me sort this out asap so I can finish my course work

    If you have either the Business Plan or the eCommerce Plan (see the Plans & Pricing page), then you may upload and install a third-party theme as described in the Uploading & Setting Up Custom Themes support page.

    I’m confused about exactly what you want to do. The only way to upload a template to a WordPress site is to upload a .zip folder containing the theme files at Appearance ->Themes, or directly to the server via FTP, and as @musicdoc1 points out above, on WordPress.com those options are only available on our Business Plan.

    Even on a standard WordPress installation there’s nowhere under Settings where one can import code for a theme/template, and themes are never uploaded by adding code directly, as a theme requires several PHP, JavaScript and CSS files that all have to be located in the same folder on the server.

    If you can give some more information about exactly what you’re supposed to be adding, we might be better able to advise you.
