template not updating as 'contact' in page attribute

    I’m using the Pinnacle theme and every time I try to update a page to include a contact form (within the ‘contact’ template in the page attribute section), the template automatically changes to ‘default template’ and refuses to reassign itself as ‘contact’ this is irritating as my site needs a contact form and that’s one of the reasons I got this theme.
