template question-PLEASE HELP

i have designed my very first theme using a book i baught and a blank template i baught but for some reason i cant get the area where the links, subscriptions and meta tags are at to turn to the color i need, the edge is the image file but ive located all bg colors and change everything but for some reason this color wont change from pink to blue and i dont really want to post my link here as its a private blog for now , but will privately off board if anyone can help me, everything else on my blog turned out very well and the images shows up and stuff is right but i just cant get this area color to change from pink to blue. please help me , thank you

im updating this i got that fixed, now how do i add links to the bottom of my nlog , like some i see where it says rss and so forth?
