Template to Page

I have a number of templates that I have been slowly customising for my website using Elementor. I can view them as pages while I’m logged in, and I have published them, but I can’t find where they are published. I would like to find the public URL for the home page, or some way of finding it and more to the point, I would really like to know how to turn the template file into a page. I see the same question was asked a few years ago, but the fix was not explained.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Just to be clear, the WordPress site is being built in the background of http://www.cardiffbsac.org at http://www.cardiffbsac.org/WordPress/ but the forum strips out the last part of the url.

In Elementor, templates and pages are different things.
A template is just a design layout and does not have its own public URL, even if it is published.

To make your template a real page:

    1. Go to Pages → Add New
    2. Click Edit with Elementor
    3. Click the folder icon
    4. Open My Templates
    5. Insert your template
    6. Publish the page

That page will now have a public URL and can be used as the homepage.

To use it as the homepage:
Settings → Reading → A static page → select your page as Homepage → Save
