templates

I’ve created a template to display an amazon store (thanks to build.your.own.astore.tutorial )
I’ve uploaded it to my themes folder but when I go to write pages I do not see an option for picking a Page Template. I use 2.0.2 wordpress. I tried uploading the template file to the themes directory and also to the folder of the theme I’m using but with no luck.
Here is the template code and it is called amazon.php
<?php
/*
Template Name: Amazon
*/
?><iframe src=”http://astore.amazon.com/francinphotos-20″ width=”90%” height=”1000″ frameborder=”0″ scrolling=”yes”>
<?php get_footer(); ?>
Any help would be wonderful.
Cheers,
Richard
p.s. I’m a complete novice to coding of any kind. -
I don’t have a clue what the build.your.own.astore.tutorial is about but I do know that at wordpress.com advertising is very limited.
The ToS section 2 bullet 5 says our free blogs here cannot be used to drive traffic to third party sites. http://wordpress.com/tos/ The FAQs says: “One discreet link to Amazon per blog is okay, but if the primary purpose of the blog is to drive traffic to affiliate programs that’s not allowed….” http://faq.wordpress.com/2005/12/08/adsense/
Worse still is that it sounds like you didn’t red the “Please read me first” sticky post at the head of the forum. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic.php?id=3700
We provide support only for wordpress.com hosted blogs here. Our software is different from the software you downloaded from wordpress.org. This is where you should be http://wordpress.org/support

Short answer. You’re at the wrong site as you;re running different software -> http://wordpress.org/support

That’s what I said in my last paragraph above. But I included wordpress.com instructions in case the blogger had a blog here too as many bloggers do.
