Temporarily switch off email notifications to followers

  Can I temporarily switch of e-mail notifications to followers?
  (Not the ones I get, but the emails that get sent out when I post a new post?)

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You can’t. We have no control over that, as subscriptions are done between the user and WordPress.com. The only way to prevent notifications going out is to set your entire blog to private so no one will be able to read it but you. http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
