  You can’t temporarily deactivate your inthecenter account. You either have a WordPress.com account or you don’t. If you do delete your account you will be unable to use the same name again in the future.
  If you mean you want to “deactivate” your WordPress.com site you can set it to private via “settings”. Again, deleting a site is permanent.
