Temporary domain

  My client wants to opt for your Business hosting for one month and if he is happy with that then possibly he will continue and will opt for the yearly plan. I need to migrate the site that is currently being hosted in my staging server.

  My client will purchase/transfer his domain after checking his site on WordPress.com so help me to get the information about how to use temporary link or IP which I can pass on to my client to check?

  Hi @nsiuk,

  Thank you for the question.

  To copy/move a website to WordPress.com you have to create an empty website here on WordPress.com. Also you have to choose an new website address, a free one like “freedomain135464651.wordpress.com”. That empty website will be used as a frame to transfer the content from another hosting. After you finish the transfer, just switch the website to Public and your customer will be able to see it under free domain freedomain135464651.wordpress.com.
  When necessary your current custom domain can be mapped or transferred here to override the free domain provided above, more info about that is here: https://wordpress.com/support/domain-mapping-vs-domain-transfer/
