Temporary site address for testing

  I want to set up a temporary site for testing and approval before we migrate the existing site to WordPress. Help please

  Hi there,

  That is not an issue – you could create a site with a free WordPress.com blog address. You are assigned either a .wordpress.com or a .home.blog subdomain whenever you create a site with WordPress.com, so you can just use that as the domain as you build the site and determine whether or not this is the platform you want to use. The site starts off private until you are ready to launch it.

  Once you are done developing the site, you can decide to transfer the domain over or connect the domain from your current host.
