Tesla Website Elements

If anybody has taken a look at the Tesla website, you can see some really awesome graphic design elements. We’re looking to build a company site on WordPress that emulates many of these elements, but we need some help from the community.

Here is the Tesla site for reference: http://www.teslamotors.com/

We really admire the subtleties, such as the dotted lines fading in on this image: http://www.teslamotors.com/models
Does anybody know how difficult that would be on WordPress, or if there is a specific example or plugin anybody has used that mimics that?

    Also, here: http://www.teslamotors.com/charging#/outlet

In the middle of the page, you can see a really cool tab-like slider. I’ve seen tons of tabs on WordPress, but does anybody know of a similar slider?

And lastly (sorry for overwhelming), on that same page (http://www.teslamotors.com/charging#/basics), at the top, you see the red car with hotspots you can hit, and the image changes. Has anything like that been done in WordPress successfully?

    Thanks community.

Let me get this straight. You want to recreate or imitate a custom copyrighted design belonging to a company with an international trademark and don’t consider that to be a rip-off?

P.S. What is the URL of the free hosted WordPress.com blog that you purchased the annually renewable custom design upgrade for?

Timethief, these elements aren’t copywritten. You cannot copyright a slider. I’m also asking for similar objects, not the codes for their’s. And the site isn’t hosted on my account, it’s hosted on my company’s.

We just admire some of their design elements, and wondering if they’d been done on WordPress.

What is the URL of the blog?

Without verifying that it is actually a free hosted WordPress.com blog and not a WordPress>ORG install we cannot and will not even begin to answer your questions.

Very likely! I don’t know of any specific ones, but you might want to try looking through the sites at http://wordpress.org/showcase/

Those are accomplished with CSS3 animations. Once you figure out how to do them, adding them to WordPress would just be a matter of applying the right CSS to the right part of your page.

    Here’s a primer on CSS3 animations:

Your questions sound like WordPress.org questions. I bet you meant to post at http://wordpress.org/support/

See http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ to learn about the differences.

Try searching the plugin directory as a first stop. I found this on a quick search and it looks similar to what you’re looking for. Note that this is a resource for WordPress.org and not WordPress.com and you should post future WordPress.org questions in the forum I linked to above so we can keep the questions about the different types of installs separate and avoid confusion.

The effects in this WordPress.org theme look kiiind of similar to me:

There are probably more! There are so many cool WordPress sites, plugins, and themes in the world! Head over to http://wordpress.org/support/ if you have more questions about WordPress.org things.

I’m going to close this thread, but if you have more questions about WordPress.com specifically, please feel free to open a separate new thread.
