Test blog page with imported posts
-
I have manually created 100 blog pages by creating one and copying it using the copy function and then exporting it and importing it back so I can have a large number of blog posts available to test a blog page I have created.
However I have two problems firstly when I try to import (what I hope contains) 100 posts, I get an Error 503 and the message:
Whoops!
Something has gone wrong with our servers, and we’ve just been notified of the problem.
This will be fixed as soon as possible, so kindly reload in a minute and things should be back to normal.
Is this because I am importing too many blog posts?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
I’m not sure that I understood what you are trying to set up. Can you clarify why you would need so many sample posts on the site? It should not be necessary to import/export content between multiple sites. That feature is intended for one-time moves and not repeated round trips to build up content.
Instead you can create a single page or blog post on your site and then copy it as explained here: https://wordpress.com/support/copy-a-post-or-page/
Also if you can tell us more about what you are trying to set up, we’re happy to take a closer look. Do you happen to have any sites (does not have to be WordPress) that you are drawing inspiration from or trying to emulate?
Thanks for the additional info!

Hello staff-totoro and thank you for your reply.
To answer your big question first. I am drawing inspiration from a desire to visualise what a well-stocked blog post page will look like. That I have certainly achieved.
However, I do take your point that “That feature is intended for one-time moves and not repeated round trips to build up content”. So | have reduced my count down to 20.
Thank you for the link to the article. I can certainly use that to create a smaller sample size.
