Test driving WordPress
-
I was testing WordPress and started to create a blog, but I am unable to see the Dashboard and make changes. I would like to start over. I can I make this happen?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

To start over you need to be able to see the dashboard and make changes. You must be logged in if you can post here in the support forum. Why can’t you see the dashboard of your brand new site?

I tried adding wp-admin to the end of the Domain address, but it didn’t take me to the admin panel.

The new/Calypso dashboard is found just by clicking “My Site” on the top left, but even new sites can use the old wp-admin dashboard. Yours should be here:-

I deleted the previous blog posts, but the pages are now showing “can’t be found”. How do I permanently delete them and start over? I would like to select a new Theme and start fresh with the same domain name. I am using the trial version of WordPress until I can get a good handle of the software.

The home page says “Nothing found” because you don’t have any posts. You have trashed the About page when you didn’t need to do that. Just click on “My Site” “Themes” and choose a different theme. Then start writing some posts and add a new About page to say what you/your blog is about. Until you actually start publishing some content you’ll never see how your site will look. It’s easy to change stuff if you’re not happy with it.
PS: I don’t think there is such a thing as a trial version of WordPress.com. The free version you are currently using contains most of the features you’re likely to need. However a good reason to upgrade is if you want to be adverts-free and a (more professional looking) custom domain name that doesn’t end with WordPress.com
