Test results posted on blog

    Hey,

I just took a cute test and i am trying to post the results on the blog, as an independent entry. However, I copy & paste the code but nothing happens. It`s not the first time I try without having any luck.

The code is: 60%<span style=”display: none;”>How Addicted to Blogging Are You?</span><p>OnePlusYou Quizzes and Widgets</p>

Please tell me how I can show the test results (as an image/ banner) on my blog.

Here’s what I got when I did one:

    <a href="http://www.oneplusyou.com/q/v/cannibal_lunch"><img border="0" src="http://www.oneplusyou.com/q/img/badges/cannibal_lunch_10_cannibals.jpg" alt="How many cannibals could your body feed?" /></a><br /><a href="http://www.oneplusyou.com/q">OnePlusYou Quizzes and Widgets</a>

Doesn’t look to be anything wrong with that code, and I just posted it fine. You have to put it in your HTML editor, not the visual editor.

Still not working, even when i tried what you wrote above. I am on wordpress.com, I suppose you are on wordpress.org – could that be a reason?

Nope-you have to put in the HTML Editor, as rain said. And make sure you have copied everything in the code starting from <a href=" "> to </a> in the code.

When you’re on the Write page, there are two tabs: Visual and HTML above the box where the text goes. Click the HTML one and paste the code in there, then hit Publish.

I tried again. I only get this showing:

    51% (as a link)

    i`m giving up. thanks anyway.

    The code you need is:

    <a href="http://www.oneplusyou.com/bb/blog_addiction" style="color: #D64B32; text-decoration: none; display: block; width: 286px; height: 128px; padding-top: 50px; padding-left: 17px; background: url(http://www.oneplusyou.com/q/img/bb_badges/blog_addiction.jpg) no-repeat; font-family: Times New Roman, sans-serif; font-size: 30px;">51%<span style="display: none;">How Addicted to Blogging Are You?</span></a><p>Created by <a href="http://www.oneplusyou.com">OnePlusYou</a></p>

    I’ll be d*mned-rain. She’s right- just the 51% shows in a post.

Looking at the code, there’s a ton of inline CSS that’s being stripped out.

This is what’s left after saving
    <a href="http://www.oneplusyou.com/bb/blog_addiction">51%<span style="display:none;">How Addicted to Blogging Are You?</span></a><p>Created by <a href="http://www.oneplusyou.com">OnePlusYou</a></p>

D’oh, you’re right. The other quizzes work just fine, that I’ve tried.

My suggestion, then, is copying the image and then just adding the percentage as text over it in photoshop or something. Way to elaborate, though. My best suggestion is just to pick another quiz, because the others do work.

I seem to recall the zombie one doesn’t though. I had this problem before, a year ago or so now that my memory is jogged.

Hehe, glad you didn`t remain with the impression that I am simply unable to copy & paste a code :)

Well, I actually thought it might have been something to do with your theme. I didn’t think you were dumb.
