  Hi! I’m a current wordpress user for my personal business and am looking to try and convince my employer to transfer to WordPress too. Is there any way I can use an offline test site to show them an example of what I can do on here compared to their current site?

  Hi there,

  There’s no way to use WordPress.com offline, but you can create a new free site in your account and just leave it set to private. That way only you and people you specifically give access can see it.

  Or if you’re planning to use the open source version of WordPress at another hosting provider, you can use special software to create a virtual server on your computer, where you can then install and run the WordPress software offline on your computer. For that you can find the instructions over on WordPress.org where that software is made:
