Test site for established non-wordpress site.

    Hi there,
    I’m new to wordpress, and am trying to create a site in a test environment. What is the best way to do this? I’m trying to make a site for an already established domain, so I don’t want to alter that site before the new one is complete and ready to go live. Any help on this would be fantastic. Thanks a lot.

    Hi Will – You can mark the site Private while editing, thus hiding it from the world. Once you are finished all you need to do is edit the Privacy Settings again for it to be viewable.

    If you are unsure about what changes you will make, or need to play around a bit, I’d recommend registering a free test site domain to your account and using it to figure out the specifics of your new site.
