Test site is a copy of an old site

Hello last year I created a website however the client decided not to go through with it. So as a part of the contract all copy and images were to be returned to the client. I just found out today that there is a test site at this url https://testsite5738.wordpress.com/ that is a copy of the website I had made. The client is getting ready to launch a new site and this test site is causing issues and is in violation of our contract. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi there,

Just to clarify if you login to WordPress.com and click on My Sites do you see testsite5738.wordpress.com in your list?

If so you’ll be able to go about deleting the site on your own.

If you don’t it means a different user created it. You’d need to contact them to have the site removed or submit a complaint at https://wordpress.com/complaints/ so that a WordPres staff member can review your request.

Hello,

Deleting a site permanently removes it and you’ll never be able to reuse its WordPress.com address (such as yourgroovysite.wordpress.com).

If that’s not what you want to do, you can instead:

Change your site’s address
and keep your content
Delete old posts and continue using the same address
Empty your site of all its content for a fresh start and continue using the same address
Transfer your site to someone else
Make your site private so only people you invite can see it

If you’re sure you want to permanently delete your site, here’s how to do it.

If your site has any of the following upgrades, you will need to remove them first:

Premium or Business Plan
Custom Domain
Domain Mapping
Premium Theme
Any other upgrade
See the Deleting a site with Upgrades section for more details.

Before you do anything else, empty your site of all the contents by following the instructions on this page – then, continue on with these steps:

Step 1 – Visit your site’s settings page by clicking on My Site(s) and then Settings

Step 2 – Scroll to the bottom of the Settings page, and select Delete your site permanently
Note that site deletions are permanent!

Please refer https://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/ for more detailed instructions.

I hope this helps, please feel free to reply here in case you need any further assistance.

Regards,
