  How do I get rid of the ‘how to’ testimonials – or the testimonial archive? HOw do I edit this text?

  Hi @igotchugirl,

  The theme you are using is the Dara Theme, which does have a dedicated testimonials section.

  By default, your theme will have some demo content is this area.

  The Testimonial area, configured under Customize → Testimonials. This area displays two testimonials. To add a testimonial, go to My Site → Testimonials → Add. If no testimonials are added, this section will not be displayed.

  As mentioned above, you can access the Testimonial area by going to Customize → Testimonials.
