testimonials

Part of the reason for selecting Motif theme was that it enabled testimonials. Again. I’ve looked through the support docs and previous questions and all seem to assume that that theme shows testimonials in the dashboard but it is not there. I’ve checked the theme is updated I’ve also gone to ‘settings-writing to look for Your Custom Content but again, that is not there. Any ideas?

Is your blog hosted on WordPress.com?
If you have multiple blogs, make sure you’re in the dashboard of the blog the theme Motif is activated on.
You will find the Testimonials link on the left hand side, below Pages and Media in the new dashboard. Here’s a direct link to it:

there is no mention of testimonials in the dashboard at all. I’ve investigated every section of it. It goes media, pages, comments

You’ll need to activate the Jetpack plugin’s Custom Content Types module in order to use testimonials in Motif on a self-hosted site running on your own hosting.
