testimonials not showing up

The theme I chose has a testimonials section built in. It does not appear to be a widget as it is not in the widget section but in the sidebar of My Dashboard.
I have created one Testimonial and published it. When I click “view” it takes me to what looks to be a live page called xxxxx.wordpress.com/testimonial/Martin
Martin=customer name I have set.
However, I cannot figure out how to get to this page any other way (via the Menu navigation, via the search bar on my site, etc.). I am under the impression that it should be showing up as a rotating widget-like box on my home/about page. That’s how the theme demo made it seem.
It’s possible that I have just not activated something or added it to the layout…? The theme demo made it seem so easy! :(

The first thing to do is read the Testimonials section of the Motif theme guide.

The URLs of the testimonial page and individual testimonials look like the URLs of parent and child pages, but technically they are different because of the “testimonial” extension. Therefore, they will not appear in the default page menu. You’ll have to create a custom menu to include them in a menu.
A menu link to the Testimonials page, https://awakenca.wordpress.com/testimonial/, can be created with the Custom Links module at the Menus page. A link to each testimonial may be added separately with the Testimonials module. In the menu structure, you can nest the individual testimonials (menu items) in any order under the Testimonial menu item by dragging them slightly the right before dropping them.

The testimonials section on the front page only appears if you use the front page template. See the Front Page Template section of the Motif theme guide.

In order to use the Front Page Template on the front page, you may want to change the static page which displays on your front page from the “About” page to another page.
