Testimonials not showing up properly
-
Hi,
I’ve recently tried to create a testimonial page with the template integrated and followed the theme’s instructions on how to do so. However, it doesn’t show the same result at the theme and I can’t get it to work.
Anyone have an idea?
Using Lodestar btw.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Glad you’re all set. Where were you getting tripped up, if you don’t mind saying? I could take a look and see if the directions could be clarified.

Hum, I tried to create a new page with the “testimonials template” but each time I added something it just showed up as a regular page.
You actually have to create a new testimonial in the section corresponding to it. Then you do create a new page but just justify the template and don’t actually write something in it. It does it automatically.
This is what messes me up. I understood that it all had to be done on the same page, not that you need to create the testimonials, create a page with the template and then… Magic.

Ah, I see.
To clarify, there is a testimonial archive page that gets created automatically in any theme when you create at least one testimoinial, that’s at
/testimonial– so, here:https://frenchietranslator.wordpress.com/testimonial/
You also have a second page that you created manually here:
https://frenchietranslator.wordpress.com/testimonials/
In both cases, you do need to add at least one testimonial first, otherwise nothing would be displayed.

p.s. the main reason there is a testimonial template in this theme is so you can use that page as one of the front-page panels if you want – which I see you’ve done.
