  I have a google domain name already. It is connected to a Wix site. I want to create a site with WordPress before connecting the domain. How exactly do I do that?

  I don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet

  You can start a free WordPress.com site any time by visiting this link: https://wordpress.com/start/

  Just be sure to choose the free site option now (with the provided “wordpress.com” address) and down the road if you wish to change the address of your site to something custom (and removed “wordpress.com” from the address) you can do that by upgrading to any of our plans:
