Testing site?

Is it possible to create a subdomain and use it as a testing site for a current wordpress.com hosted website? I want to change the current site, but want to be able to work on it and have other admins work on it, and then swap it out. I have a business plan.

Hi there,
You can create as many free WordPress.com sites in your account as you want for testing purposes. However, you won’t be able to use any Business Plan features on the test site unless you buy a Business Plan for that site as well.
We also don’t have the option for a true staging website where you can make changes and then directly upload it to the live site without your site’s users even noticing, and it sounds like that’s rather what you’re looking for. At most you can use the testing site to figure things out, and then make the changes more quickly on the live site.
As an aside, please note that as a Business Plan owner you have 24 hours access to live chat and priority email support during the week via our support contact form. You don’t need to post in the public forums for help.

Would be interested in this info as well. I’m trying to fix a site that was built before I came on board. Would like to do this on a staging version as much as possible rather than the main site.
