Testing themes

Hello wordpress.com Team,
we want to move our company website to wordpress.com. Our designer would like to test different themes to find the one which suits best for us. These themes are not free. But we would like to pay only for the theme we will finally choose and not for all three of them upfront. Is there a possibility to test themes for free?

Hi,
It is indeed possible to test different themes.
To preview a theme before activating, go to My Sites → Themes. Click on the three dots to the right of the theme’s name and then click on Preview.
This action takes you to the Customizer, which will show you a live preview of the theme with your content. It’s a great way to test drive a theme if you already have content on your site.
You can scroll up and down and even click around in your blog to get an idea of how the new theme will work with your content. If you like what you see, click the Save & Activate or Purchase button in the top left corner of the Customizer window. Click the X found in the top left corner of the Customizer window to back out.
If you don’t like the theme you selected, it can be canceled within 30 days of purchasing: https://en.support.wordpress.com/refunds/
