Texas Roadhouse Location Page Map Not Loading on Published WordPress.com

    Hi there,

I’m setting up a restaurant website for a Texas Roadhouse location on WordPress.com, and I’m facing an issue with the location page. I added the built-in Map block to display the restaurant address, but the map doesn’t load on the live published page—it only shows a blank gray box.

    What I’ve tried so far:

    • Cleared cache and cookies
    • Disabled all browser extensions
    • Tested in private/incognito mode
    • Tried different address formats
    • Confirmed that it loads correctly inside the editor preview

The map appears fine in the editor, but it fails to load once the page is published. I’d really like the map to display correctly so customers can easily find the Texas Roadhouse location.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

tested on Chrome (latest Version) and Mozila Firfox with the same result, but I’ll give it another try in Edge and let you know. I’ll also share the page link here so you can take a look: texasroadhousemenues.com

  • Hello!

It looks like the site you’re asking about, texasroadhousemenues.com, is self-hosted, which means it’s hosted outside of WordPress.com. We’re only able to provide support for sites hosted directly on WordPress.com.

Since you’re experiencing an issue with the Map block, you can test it on a WordPress.com site using the Free plan. If the Map block works correctly in both the editor and live view there, the issue is likely caused by a plugin on your self-hosted site. In that case, I recommend performing a plugin test – disable plugins one at a time to see which might be causing the problem.

If you’d like to move your site to WordPress.com, we’d be happy to assist with the migration and help troubleshoot any issues. You can reach us anytime at help@wordpress.com.
