Texas Roadhouse Location Page Not Showing Google Map on My WordPress.com Site

    Hi there,

    I’m setting up a restaurant website for a Texas Roadhouse location on WordPress.com, and I’m having an issue with the location page. I used the built-in Map block to display the restaurant’s address, but the map is not loading on the live site — it only shows a blank gray box

    Troubleshooting I’ve tried:

    • Cleared cache and cookies
    • Disabled browser extensions
    • Tested on a private/incognito window
    • Tried a different address format (still doesn’t load)

    It works in the editor preview, but not on the published page. I’d like the map to display properly so customers can find the Texas Roadhouse location easily.

    Hi there, What browser and OS are you using? Is the site Private or Public?

    On my test site, both the Apple Map and the Google Map display in Firefox latest on Win10Pro.

    Thanks for checking! I’m testing this on Chrome (latest version) on Windows 11, and I also tried Firefox with the same result. The site is set to Public, so the page should be viewable. The odd part is that the map shows correctly in the block editor preview, but once published it’s just the gray box. Do you think this could be related to how the block is embedding the map?

    Just for giggles, could you try the block using a different browser and let us know the results.

    According to our site profiler, it doesn’t look like that site is hosted here on WordPress.com.

    For further help, you’ll want to post to the community forums for self-hosted sites. https://wordpress.org/support/forums/ Make sure to give them the direct link to the page you are having a problem with the map block.
