Text and button over header image
-
Hello!
Im desperately trying to place a H1, a paragraph and a button over the top of my header image. (a bit like the popular layout for many websites with a short intro and call to action.. for example: https://www.campaignmonitor.com/b/
I have tried using negative margin for the DIV where my text is, I have also tried setting a max-height for the header-image, both of which I can achieve some success but its a bit messy: they require several media queries to try and make it look right for several sizes and it all becomes a bit difficult. Is there a way of just saying: I want this div (.introhomeblock) to stay on top of this div (.header-image), then all I have to do is maybe a media query to reduce the text size below a certain screen size??
it is worth mentioning that I would remove the image that is currently part of .introhomeblock and sits along side the text currently.
If anyone can offer advice that would be amazing!

Hi @arbsdesign.
Can I ask what theme you’re using? I’ve been looking at this for a bit and have a few ideas, but nothing works as cleanly or smoothly as using a theme with the capability built in.
I ask because you site resembles the Shoreditch theme, which has the ability to do this built in. If you are using Shoreditch, let me know and we can work though getting your header image/text setup like the demo site.
