Text and Image Ad Links Are Not working

  I can get the Amazon image ad link to work, but not the Text and Image ad link. What am I doing wrong? Thanks

  Here’s everything you need to know about including affiliate advertising on your WordPress.com website:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/advertising/
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/affiliate-links/

  In short, banner (image) ads are a no-no. Text links to reputable merchants are OK. Amazon Associate codes cannot be used here, only text links. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/how-do-i-add-the-amazon-associates-link-to-my-website?replies=4

  justjennifer I can get Amazon’s Just Image ad link to work so images ad are fine on wordpress. I have also seen video’s on youtube showing people uploading image and text ads on wordpress. I think I’m missing something else.

  There is a difference between what you can do on a self-hosted WP install and what is permitted on a WordPress.com website.

  For clarity, first please read the Support documents that I linked to above and then https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  I assume your question has to do with your WordPress.com website.

  Yes WP.com. I was was just reading online and I discovered wordpress.org. The videos on youtube were wp.org. So it looks like I joined the wrong site. Thank you for your help.
