text and pictures

    For the past couple of weeks, I have been unable to paste any word text documents into posts. I am also unable to align any photo’s I want to add. Previously I could align the photos so that text appeared alongside the photo or the photo could be centred on the page. Now, there is only one option to change the size dimensions, but no opportunity to align.
    Both problem occurred at the same time. I am wondering if there is some kind of technical fault. I would be grateful for any help
