Text appearing black on black background …

Hi there. I’ll try to explain my problem as easily as I can.

In the theme I have on my blog, I changed the background from white to black. Some text changed from dark grey to white which meant it was legible with the new black background, but some stayed black – I had manually changed it to black rather than dark grey, the WordPress default.

I now understand that the dark grey WordPress default will change colour depending on the background of the blog – which is great. My problem is, is there any way of changing the remaining posts – with black text – all to the default in one go without going through each and every post on my blog?

I hope this makes sense! Thanks for any help you can give!

Sorry to have to tell you: You are going to have to go through the blog and manually change those paragraphs. This is why we don’t recommend using that feature. Some people have to change their entire blogs, a post at a time.

What feature don’t you recommend using?

Yes that is rather annoying, there should be a way of changing font colouring without doing that.

We don’t recommend changing the colour of text manually, as you did when you first inserted that text. If you use the automated colour for your text, it changes to the new one selected by your theme designer when you switch themes.

Even if you edited the CSS with the paid upgrade, hand-coded colour changes take priority over that. Afraid you’re stuck.
