Text automatically turns gray when I change Color of Links & Header
-
Hi,
I recently started using the MH Magazines theme.
I changed the default red color of the ‘links & header’ to blue in the “Customize” section. But the result of that is that the text titles in the main menu and one of the widgets (“In the Spotlight”) that are normally in white capitals, automatically turn gray which makes them less readable. Is there any way I can change the color of the links and main menu with the title texts staying white? The blog I need help with is fractionsoftheworld.com.
I e-mailed to the MH themes support forum earlier today and they said the following:
“You can contact the guys of WordPress.com and let them check the custom colors upgrade (there might be something wrong).”
Could you please check?Thank you,

Hi Tine!
These two bits of CSS should do the trick:
.main-nav li a { color: #fff; } .sl-caption { color: #fff; }Just copy and paste that CSS code into Appearance -> Customize -> CSS. Let me know if that creates the look you are looking for!

Hi Jeremey,
Sorry to bother you again, but a closer look revealed that the drop down menu letters are still gray (see menu ‚Browse per country’)… Is there any code for that also? Any help would be much appreciated,

This should work to fix that!
.main-nav ul li:hover > ul a { color: #fff; }Let me know if that accomplishes what you were looking for!

Howdy!
Thanks for the bug report. We’ve made a change to MH Magazine such that the header link colors will not turn gray. :)
Cheers,

Thanks! The letters in my WordPress follow button are still grey though, is there any way to make these stay white as well? Thanks, Tine
