Text box won’t save

  • Unknown's avatar

    I am trying to add a text box to my pages. When I add the custom HTML the box shows up just fabulously! When I save and preview the page… its gone!

    <textarea name=”myTextBox” cols=”80″ rows=”20″ style=”border:6px outset #000000;”>

    </textarea>

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    I have also tried:

    <!– wp:html –>

    <textarea columns=”80″ rows=”20″ style=”border:6px outset #ED1C24;”>

    </textarea>

    <!– /wp:html –>

    Same results. saves on preview and does not show up on website page.

    Additionally, I saw a staff member say custom html is only allowed on paid plans and with plugins enabled. I have a paid site. Is there a specific plugin I need? I have been waiting days for an email response and have gotten nothing.

  • Hi there, apologies for missing you up to this point, I see that you initiated a live chat with us that as not started correctly for some reason, and our response times have been hampered recently due to a larger than usual support influx.

    I can confirm that your site under the Business (Creator) plan does have the ability to display custom code, but I’m not sure that I’ve understood the code that you shared here. Can you point out where you have added this on your site so we can take a look at how it is displayed in the editor vs. how it appears on the published site.

    Also you can share your code here (in the forums) by adding an Code Tag, which will allow us to see your code directly.

    Thanks for the additional info!
