text boxes
-
Hi there
I want to create a page with a series of text boxes (They’re actually going to be individual testimonials so will be of varying length and size and I want to use the text boxes to enclose each one).
Is this possible? I have searched and read various threads but I can’t quite work out if it is or not?
thanks

Hi there!
It is possible to add text boxes to your posts and there are two threads in this forum you can have a look at (it requires a little bit of HTML): an old one (but still working) and another one (with a Staff member reply).
As a note (since you are interested in testimonials), your theme, according to its support guide:
Dara features testimonials in two ways:
The dedicated Testimonial Archive Page displays all testimonials in reverse chronological order, with the newest displayed first.
The static front page displays the newest two testimonials.
To add a testimonial, go to Testimonials → New. Testimonials are composed of the testimonial text, the name of the customer (added as testimonial title), and an image or logo (which can be added as a Featured Image).Hope this helps!

Hi
re testimonials – yes I’ve already used that feature but it only allows two testimonials and I have quite a lot more so wanted to have a permanent page with more as well.
I’ll check out the links you’ve suggested – I did have a search before but didn’t seem to find the answer I needed.
I’m not great at html and was hoping for some funky widget or something! :)
thanks

ok so I’ve just had a go at the html option and it works great and puts the text box over on the left of the page – I don’t know how to add a second text box next to it or if that’s not possible how to ensure the text box fills the width of the page instead? If that makes sense? The topic that talks about that option is the one’s that closed so I can’t reply on it to as the OP.
Any ideas?
