  How do I prevent text from breaking in the middle of my words?

  Please post a link to a post or page where we can view an example of what you mean.   Are you referring to the hyphenation in Twenty Thirteen?

  That’s a feature of the theme, but it can be turned off using custom CSS with the Custom Design upgrade.

  You can see how it would look before purchasing the upgrade, by going to Appearance > Customize > Custom Design. Click “Try now” and in the CSS tab enter this code:

  	-webkit-hyphens: none;
  	-moz-hyphens:    none;
  	-ms-hyphens:     none;
  	hyphens:         none;
  	word-wrap:     normal;
  }
