text color

  I new here. I’ve chosen Regulus as a theme, and don’t want to change. But the default text color is a med-gray, with insufficient contrast with the background. When I write a post, and expand the toolbar, and click the text color box, nothing happens to change anything. I tried just making it all in bold, but I don’t like that either. Any suggestions?
