text color

Hello, on the help page about writing posts it includes how to change individual words in text; however that option is not listed in my toolbar. I can only see the option to change the entire block of text, which is not what I am intending to do. I’ve done this many times in the past, what changed?
WP.com: Yes
Correct account: YesThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello there,
Many thanks for reaching out.
Can you provide a link to the help page you’re looking at please? Also, can you tell me the page/post you’re working on please?
We’ll look to replicate what you’re experiencing there.

Under text formatting on the help page.
I have no option in my pulldown menu for color change. I’m working on a draft for a new blog post but every one I’ve done has used text color changes of single words.

Hello there,
Many thanks for providing that information.
It’s quite odd you’re not seeing that. This is what I’m seeing here:

To check, are you seeing the same?

Hmmm, are you editing a specific post, page, or template?
If so, what is the name of what you’re editing?
-
It is a draft for a post, the Kozy lounge draft that I am working on that aleone posted.

thank you ozmodiar. Strange wording there, because thats not what i’d expect “highlight” to mean. I appreciate the help.

Got it; we understand people typically change the color of a word in order to highlight it in one way or another, so that’s why the setting was moved there.
I hope this helps!
