Text color for a group block is not displaying the right color

  Hello,

  I’m writing as I need some help with the text color for a group block I created on each of my website’s post.

  In Edit mode, the text color for my post is showing appropriately as black (color code is #000000). However, upon hitting Preview or Save, the group block is not displaying black color but returning to the default color (brown).

  I didn’t have this problem until … today? The site was showing the colors appropriately until this afternoon.

  I’m currently using the Pique theme. I’ve installed different themes and gone back to Pique with no result.

  TL;DR, my post has a different text color in Edit mode than in Preview mode on both desktop and mobile. The text color for a group block worked fine until today. Any thoughts on how I can fix this?

  Hi there,

  The post you link to doesn’t appear to contain any group blocks, only individual paragraph blocks. But I see the black color isn’t respected on those paragraph blocks as well.

  I’m currently using the Pique theme. I’ve installed different themes and gone back to Pique with no result.

  Can you confirm if this issue only happens for you in Pique, or does the same thing happen if you use another theme as well?

  Thanks for reply me, this issue only happens for me in Pique, another theme does not happen the same thing (I’ve installed the Nuclear theme).

  Thanks for confirming! It looks like that’s a bug in the Pique theme, so I’ve reported it to the theme developers and hopefully they can get that fixed in the future.

  I don’t have an ETA as to when that will be fixed, so in the meantime you’ll need to either use the default text color in Pique or use a different theme.

  We’ll update you on this thread once it’s been fixed. Thanks!

  I think this issue is related to wordpress.com because on other hosts the mentioned theme works as expected, bug only happens when it’s used on free wordpress.com site. Refer to my detailed answer on github here

  Thanks @peterndomano and @supernovia. I just checked again, this color error is still not fixed, I also read your detailed answer on github, so I hope this is just an issue with some recent changes at wordpress.com on handling these freely hosted sites and it will be fixed soon.
