text editor help

it appears that i can nohow get my desired formatting unless i use the text editor on wordpress… i don’t want to start using plugins right away as i already have a lot going on managing my blog…so, i was hoping to find some post in the forum on using the default text editor or some tips from somebody who uses/ enjoys the text editor.. all i’m hoping to get done by the text editor is simple office-word features…but it seems really unmanageable when switching between the visual and text editor..so i have decided to go with text editor only..any opinion/ tips regarding the decision is welcome…

YOu can’t use plugins on a WordPress.com blog, so that’s one less thing to worry about.
We can’t give you any tips until you tell us exactly what you want to do. Wait, that’s wrong. I can give you one: if you want to control the formatting and look of your posts, use a WordPress.org blog and learn HTML and CSS coding. If you just want to blog, and not worry about making sure the periods are perfectly round and so on, use WordPress.com. It’s designed to be a turnkey blogging system that you can get up and running in seconds. It works. But it’s not designed for tight formatting control.

well… yeah… i want to do both… if i can’t recognize a para break, it is a big problem for me..even if i’m only blogging…
btw..can you convert a .com blog to .org blog..??? does that involve buying domain and such..??
