Text / font formatting problem affecting entire blog.

    I’m having a nightmare with my text / font / formatting. I’m not sure of the correct way to explain it.

    I’m using the Press Row theme and have been writing all my posts directly into the text box in my dashboard (not using Word or pasting from anywhere else).

    For a few weeks though every single post has published with different formatting and it looks awful. I know there are other posts with similar problems but none seemed to be exactly the same as this. The font’s are bigger or smaller, lighter or darker and it affects the main body of the text, the headings and even the text in my widgets. What is going on?

    I tried taking all my posts, putting them through Word making all the fonts and sizes exactly the same but this just changed all the formatting again — so it’s all different, but in a new way! It just gets worse and worse.

    My friend blogs with the same theme and has never had this problem. Furthermore, this is happening to me on which ever computer I try to use.

    The same friend and I share a blog http://blurthelines.wordpress.com and his posts come out with perfect Press Row formatting, while mine are wrong, no matter what I do (Remove Formatting, don’t paste from Word etc.)

    I would seriously appreciate some advice or an explanation. I’m on the verge of scrapping the whole thing and starting again.

    http://blurthelines.wordpress.com/ is using ‘The Journalist’ and only has two posts which look fine to me?

    As for http://skipmucky.wordpress.com/ I can see that this post has a different font to the others: http://skipmucky.wordpress.com/2008/08/31/new-arrivals/

    When you write directly in your dashboard, do you use the visual or the HTML editor?

    You’ve got us confused a little bit. Which blog are you talking about? If it’s “skipmucky”, all the posts seem ok to me. If it’s “blurthelines”, we can only see two posts in all, as carocat says, the one being by you (with smaller font size and larger leading), so where is “every single post” you’ve got problems with and where are the problems in your sidebar? Are you referring to a third blog you forgot to link to?

    Anyway, if you mean the “Let’s mix things up a little” post, its code has all the nice little stupid trademarks of pasting from Word. You can go to your VISUAL post editor, select all the text, copy, click the “Paste as Plain Text” button, paste, insert, save.
