text formatting

    I am having a lot of difficulty formatting my posts and I don’t understand why there is such a huge disconnect between how the text looks in the editor and how it is ultimately rendered on the site. It is getting to the point where I feel like everything I’m entering into the editor is just getting shaken around like a snow globe when I click publish. I try to set different sections of text at different paragraph settings and it just changes everything, not just what I’m highlighting. When the text is rendered on the site, everything is crammed together with no clear way of how to do something as simple as adding a line of blank space. Is there a less painful way for me to accomplish this? Do I need to write the code for the page? It seems like what I’m trying to do shouldn’t be that difficult. Placing text next to a picture also seems to be unusually difficult. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
